Alison Zuend

Alison Zuend  had a traditional background with horses, working at an eventing yard, riding school as well as studying for her BHS exams before completing her BSc (Hons) Equine Studies.  While on this journey Alison found Parelli Natural Horsemanship, a completely different approach than what she was used to.

‘Learning Natural Horsemanship opened my eyes to the idea of communication with horses rather than what felt like the ‘one size fits all approach’’.   Completely fascinated by this idea Alison became a working student at the Parelli Centre in the UK and additionally went to the USA to study directly with Pat and Linda Parelli.

Alison has been studying Parelli Natural Horsemanship and horses for over 20 years and teaching Parelli for the majority of this time.  ‘’Parelli is such a fantastic foundation programme that takes the human on a journey of self-discovery’’.

Alison is fascinated how to help horses feel safe and enjoy the interaction in their training.  ‘’I love liberty, it is such a fine balance of love, language and leadership’’.  She takes the foundation with her own horses into the competition world in dressage competing up to Advanced Medium, also into Horse Trials (eventing) competing BE90 with plans for BE100.

Alison loves to share insights into the Parelli programme, foundations into competition and helping people to achieve their dreams with horses.

Testimonials

"I really love the way Alison teaches, she knows exactly when to push me a bit harder and when to leave me to lick and chew and her insight is always spot on, she's really helped me to develop my relationship and my horsemanship.

The beach course course last October was the highlight of my horsey year, I've booked to do both of them this year, so double the fun!"

Jackie Evans

Nell Cruse

"Ali you have the much envied ability of knowing just when to push to get me to work that little bit harder, and yes sometimes a lot harder but in doing so I achieve so so much more. I just love coming up for lessons and the more tired I am at the end the happier I seem to be, I love the work even when things take time but the end result is one happy horse and one very happy me.  Thank you, to you and all the team."

Carol Webb
